So this journey of mine has certainly taken some turns, and although I’ve spent over a decade working as a photographer (mainly photographing children and families) in the Dufferin County area, it has always served as a bit of a hobby for me, (despite my Creative Photography and Design diploma that would suggest it was a career path). That said I’m happy to say I’m giving my creative passions a new life and a fresh start – which is exactly the approach with my {new} business: Sharyn Ayliffe Creative. Fresh and creative, client-centric commercial and lifestyle photography and graphic design!
It all started back in January when I applied (after a nudge, nay, shove from my darling) to a new pilot program offered by our local Small Business Enterprise. Along the way I developed a well supported Business Plan that actually landed me a grant under the Cultural Entrepreneurship Program! Long story short, I’ve upgraded my slightly outdated (ok, fine… super outdated) camera/computer gear and have launched my business with a solid plan, and a confident understanding of my own creative goals – and the promise to myself to see them through.
I’m looking forward to sharing my adventures and projects with you and hope that along my new path I can inspire those around me to pursue their goals, chase their dreams and find the methods they need to express themselves through their work! (Aim high, right?!)
Stick around… It’s going to be fun!
